RAMBLINGS OF THE MIND

DANNY NINAL finished his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Philosophy & English at San Carlos Seminary College, Cebu. He took his Masteral Studies in Literature at The University of San Carlos, Cebu City.  An artist by heart, Danny also loves drawing (pen & Ink, and charcoal), which naturally evolved into his passion in photography. Most of the photos used in his stories are taken by him and his daughter, Danielle. .

 

A well-rounded versatile person, Danny also has a solid Corporate background, having taken Management Courses at The Asian Institute of Management, and having finished the Special Business Economic Program at the  The University of Asia and Pacific (a special by-invitation-only program for Business Executives).

 

He started writing while he was still very young. But when he studied Philosphy, he was introduced to the literary works of great Russian authors such as Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Leo Tolstoy, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Anton Chekhov. This explains his profound approach to things, and mature outlook in life.

 

While he did not finish his theological studies to become a priest, the spiritual perspective of his short stories gives it a certain flavour of balance between the mind and the spirit.

 

Danny now lives  in Auckland, New Zealand with his wife, Jia, and only daughter, Danielle Angelika.
